Finally Going on a Vacation! :)

My husband and I are going on a vacation tomorrow and I am SO excited. Why? I've NEVER been on a vacation since I've been a photographer!! Can you believe that? The last vacation we were on was to the Colorado Rockies two and a half years ago. It was that trip that my interest in photography began. There were so many beautiful photo opportunities out there, I kept asking my husband over and over if he could hand me his camera. :) He was really into photography back then and I was pretty clueless. When we got home from that trip, I realized how much I loved taking photos and decided to try and get into photography more. It was then that my love affair with a camera and editing photos began.
I'm really excited about our destination this time…Bar Harbor, Maine! We've never been there before and I'm thrilled we decided on a coastal town since I love the water and the ocean so much. I'm planning on taking a TON of beautiful New England landscape shots. yay! I'm so excited about that because where we live doesn't lend itself to good landscape shots, except for the beach. I love going to the Jersey shore but feel like I've "been there, done that." It's going to be so nice to see totally different scenery with my camera for once. woohoo!
The highlight of our trip is a whale watching boat tour. I'm PRAYING I can get a good shot of a whale or whale tail. I rented a HUGE lens for it, I can't wait to use it!
